AFTER-HOURS PEDIATRIC URGENT CARE NOW OPEN IN MOBILE
The Mobile community came out to attend the ribbon cutting of a new facility on December 4th. The facility features two urgent cares in one building. The dual clinic is located in front of Winn-Dixie on Grelot Road. They have a pediatrician on-site seven days a week. The clinic includes MainStreet Family Urgent Care and KidsStreet Urgent Care. Both clinics see patients of all ages.
“We are excited for the opportunity to serve kids and their families in the Mobile community,” stated Chief Executive Officer, Sam Eskildsen. “We know that kids get sick or injured at inconvenient times. When everywhere else is closed, we want to provide parents an alternative to an emergency room visit. Our hope is that by offering patients great care, and same day appointments all with a licensed pediatrician we will deliver peace of mind.”
Hours and Services
Open from noon until 10 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends, KidsStreet Urgent Care aims to provide care when you need it. Our pediatricians, pediatric providers and family practitioners are available to help with everyday illnesses and injuries as well as physicals. These walk-in clinics provide treatment for issues like flu and strep throat and also perform a number of diagnostic tests. These include minor procedures, such as stitches and foreign object removal. Both clinics feature multiple exam rooms, on-site lab testing and digital X-ray capabilities. Additionally, MainStreet Family Urgent Care delivers a choice of occupational health services such as worker’s compensation management, drug testing, and DOT physicals.
Pediatricians
Medical Director, Dr. Timothy “Timbo” Taylor, M.D. is excited about giving fellow parents another healthcare option when facing the unexpected. “Not only will the state-of-the-art clinic in Mobile provide quality care that’s specialized for kids, but we also hope the convenient services and friendly staff will make the entire ordeal of being sick or injured a much more pleasant experience for both the parents and the child,” said Taylor.
In addition to a pediatric-trained staff, KidsStreet offers a kid-friendly waiting room with mess-free coloring kits. KidsStreet is also has a company mascot, Dr. Wags, who can be seen out at community events, schools and daycares! Furthermore, several commonly prescribed medications are offered on-site, saving you a trip to the pharmacy.
KidsStreet Urgent Care will host a Grand Opening event for the entire surrounding community on December 16th, 2017.
